This honey is made by Louise Bees who is based in Rode village right here on our doorstep in Somerset. Wild Sainfoin is an ancient hay meadow plant, once prized for its medicinal properties for cattle and sheep, now coming back into popularity. On Salisbury Plain it grows wild in such great swathes that Louise can put beehives in the middle of it and be happy they have everything they need. Nearly 4 months of nectar-rich flowers make the most delicious, almost citrussy mono-floral honey.
