Frozen kaffir lime leaves are the aromatic leaves of the kaffir (makrut) lime tree that have been carefully harvested and frozen to preserve their intense citrus fragrance and flavour. Deep green and glossy, the leaves are typically double-lobed and highly prized in Southeast Asian cooking, particularly in Thai, Malaysian, and Indonesian cuisines.
Freezing helps lock in the leaves’ distinctive aroma, bright, zesty, and slightly floral, making them a convenient alternative to fresh leaves when they are not seasonally available. When cooked, frozen kaffir lime leaves release a bold citrus note with hints of lime zest and subtle herbal bitterness, adding depth and freshness to dishes.
They are commonly used whole or finely shredded in curries, soups, stir-fries, and marinades, and are especially essential in dishes such as Thai green curry, tom yum soup, and fragrant coconut-based sauces. Frozen kaffir lime leaves should be added during cooking to infuse flavour and are often removed before serving if left whole.

Habhal’s Kecap Manis is delicious! A much sweeter and thicker version of soy sauce, which as the name ‘Kecap’ (Indonesian ketchup) suggests, can be liberally added to most dishes. It’s a thick, molasses-like Indonesian soy sauce made from fermented soy beans, sugar, and spices. The bottle seems to last for ages, and is very good value. Highly recommended!
Superb range of ingredients! Wonderful company with lovely, passionate owners. Delivered via electric van.
So many interesting products, and lots of good advice from the staff. The olives were stunning.
I’ve ordered the Calabrian chillies for the second time ..
They superbly compliment the Chicken Arrabbiata pasta dish that I make .. which is a traditional Italian recipe…
A suggestion may be to include quality San Marzano tomatoes in your range to complement this dish … it’s loved by all of my family…
